Football Projects

This is a prototype stat I created to represent the best cover cornerbacks in the NFL. On the excel file, I have compiled over 100 NFL cornerbacks stats. There are two stats that I am working with currently. One measures production per coverage snap and multiply it by how much each cornerback is targeted. The other is production per coverage snap multiplies by targets and the QBR for the corner when targeted. I am still messing around with the weights of both statistics to try and find the perfect balance that accurately represents what experts believe the best cornerbacks are.  Once all the information is finalized I will post graphs, rankings, and youtube videos explaining it all. For now, you can take a look at the prototype of the stat and leave feedback on how it can be improved. I was considering adding weighted QBR to the total instead of multiplying it as I did. This is not set in stone and I want to continue to use the model I made to perfect the stat.
